The Charter has existed, in one form or another, for generations. An enigmatic group of families who are rumored to have guided the flow of wealth, influence and power around the world; that fact can neither be confirmed nor denied. Legend has it that they were/are known for their discretion and their ability to keep secrets, but little else was known about them beyond that.

Many are involved and believe in the philanthropy of the Charter, as can be seen by the countless people who wear clothing adorned with the logo and name of The Charter. Anyone who seeks to be the tide to those that surround them, is welcomed and encouraged to wear the visual representation of the Charter, but there are in reality only 4+1, that are actual members.
